At HFA we are committed to sustainability, reducing our ecological footprint through solar energy and waste recovery, reflecting our commitment to a greener future.
Compromise
Since we integrated solar panels into our energy supply system, we have reduced our consumption and increased energy efficiency. Last year we avoided emitting approximately 72.6 tonnes of CO2.
Committed to environmental preservation, we guarantee the recycling and correct separation of waste, processed by certified organisations. Waste is de-characterised, separated and recycled. Non-recoverable waste is managed responsibly and sustainably, in line with the best environmental practices.
We promote the circular economy by repairing electronic equipment, extending its useful life, reducing the need for new resources and minimising waste. This action supports sustainability and sensitises consumers to responsible consumption.
Upgrading our fleet to electric vehicles is part of our green logistics strategy, reinforcing our commitment to a more sustainable and efficient initiative.
We carefully monitor our gas emissions, ensuring minimal environmental impact. With a real-time energy consumption monitoring platform developed by HFA, we reinforce our commitment to sustainability and operational efficiency.
With the aim of reducing the use of paper, we have implemented sustainable practices and projects that promote digitalisation and efficiency in our processes, reducing waste and contributing to environmental preservation.

Since 2021, we have been supporting young students with scholarships for higher education, promoting development in technology and engineering and reducing socio-economic obstacles in the areas around Águeda.

Since 2020, we have been promoting the solidarity initiative “Today We Make Tomorrow”, which involves the entire municipality of Águeda. The challenge is for local IPSSs and institutions to present innovative projects with a social impact, and HFA employees select the best projects.
