A Agenda Microeletrónica foi idealizada numa lógica integrada e com proximidade às iniciativas europeias IPCEI on Microelectronicse EU Chips Act, procurando desbloquear o potencial da indústria de semicondutores e trazer valor acrescentado à sociedade e economia europeias. A Agenda é o primeiro passo da resposta nacional à necessidade europeia de superar as suas falhas sistémicas no setor, através de investimentos estruturais para reforçar a capacidade produtiva, inovação, capacitação e produção de informação relevante na indústria de semicondutores nacional.

Objectives, activities and goals
The Agenda is the first step in the national response to Europe's need to overcome its systemic shortcomings in the microelectronics sector. It aims to strengthen productive capacity and competitiveness in the area of microelectronics, in terms of advanced packaging, industrialisation of products based on integrated optical circuits, new high-speed access networks and technologies for Industry 4.0.
